Tomorrow is the big day!!!
Everyone has worked so hard to make these performances come together, thank-you all SO much! I just have a couple last minute notes concerning Friday. First, just a sweet smelling reminder!  The room can get a little warm and the kids are all in pretty tight quarters, it might be good to remind your kids to put on their deodorant for the good of all! Thanks! Our performance times are 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. In the morning, if you could arrive at 9:15 that would be wonderful, and in the evening 7:00 would be a great time to get there. In the morning, when choir kids get to the church, if they could sit down in the fellowship hall to receive their Jewish stars from Mrs. Bootsma and be ready to walk in as soon as the performance is ready to start that would be great. My aunt would also like to meet with all the actors on the stage before the morning performance. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
One more sleep!!! :)

10 more sleeps until the play!!! Yoot!! Here's a few notes about this weeks rehearsal...
It will be on Friday at 10:30, and we're asking that all the moms come in for about 10 minutes so that we can touch base about a few things. After that you'll all be free to go. :) I also have a quick note from Charlene to all of you.

Things are starting to come together for the play.  The choir is doing wonderful and I'm so proud of how well they have done!  For these last few practices, if the kids could really focus on learning the words for the final chorus of 'I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day' that would be great.  They're a still a bit shaky on it.  :)  I've posted the words below as well as a YouTube link of the song to make it easy to practice and listen to!

And the bells they're ringing (Peace on Earth)Like a choir they're singing (Peace on Earth)And with our hearts we'll hear themPeace on earth, good will to men
D
o you hear the bells they're ringing? (Peace on Earth)The life the angels singing (Peace on Earth)Open up your heart and hear them (Peace on Earth)
Peace on earth, good will to menPeace on earth, Peace on earthPeace on earth, Good will to men

Make sure you all work really hard to learn this! See you all Friday!!!

Ten Boom Museum Virtual Tour

I thought I'd pass on a link, if you're interested in finding out more about Corrie ten Boom and her family...and want to see the actual hiding place, without travelling to the Netherlands! :) The ten Boom museum website has an amazing virtual tour...the "tour guide" leads you through the house, tells the story of the hiding place, and gives additional information about the family and the house. It was neat to be able to show this to our kids tonight. You can check it out here (click on "Virtual Tour"):

Looking forward to the 15th!

Hello everyone!!
I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful weather! Just a reminder that there is a rehearsal on Friday, starting at 10:30. We're also asking that everyone comes in their costumes, so we have a good idea of how we're doing in that area and can see how they look.
    Thanks!

Hello!
Great job on an awesome rehearsal today; everything sounded and looked amazing!! Just a couple notes regarding the schedule. There is no rehearsal on Tuesday March 15th, or on Friday March 25th, but there are rehearsals on Friday March 18th, and Tuesday March 22nd. Both theses rehearsals start at 10:30. Another thing, if I could have a couple people volunteer to take care of the refreshments for the night of, that would be awesome. That would involve making sure everything, snacks and drinks, are out after the performance, and that everything gets cleaned up afterwards. And if everyone could bring some kind of refreshment to share the evening of, that would be wonderful! One last thing, we still need 3-4 large black sheets as backdrops. They need to be queen sized or larger (preferable larger).
      Thanks!

Hello!
This week we will be having play practise once again!!!! Yay!!!
Our church is also hosting a conference this weekend, so everything will be squeaky clean when we get there on Friday. We've been asked to make sure that we keep it that way, so the janitors don't have to clean it again after we leave. So, if you all could use only the handicap bathroom (the bathroom off of the nursery) and take off your shoes and leave them in the front foyer, (the first little room you come in when you get to the church) that would be wonderful!! Also, there will be signs up, so we know which rooms are off limits, and if you could make sure everything is the way you found it, no toys on the floor, etc.
Thank-you so much your help!! :)

Bonjour!!
Just a note that rehearsals are cancelled for tomorrow, as both our music director and pianist have the flu in their houses. :(
I hope you're all enjoying this beautifully cold weather we're having!!!

Hello!
We will be having rehearsals once again this week, at Living Water at 11:00. Our young peoples is also hosting a Valentines Dinner, which will be held Friday evening, so there will be a number of decorations, and tables set up for that. Please talk to your kids beforehand, just making sure they know to be extremely careful, (no running around) when they come in. The front couple rows will still be set up for the choir to use though.
I hope you're all enjoying the snow!!

We will be having a regular rehearsal at the church with the choir and cast, I hope to see you all there! Also, the deadline for the poster contest has been extended to this Friday, so we will still be accepting posters this week.
                     Have a happy Wednesday!

Hello everyone!
This week we'll be having rehearsals again! As usual, they will be at the church at 11:00 on Friday, as usual. Just a reminder that it's a good idea for your kids to have a small snack before coming to rehearsals, as they're pretty close to lunch and we want to try to prevent people from becoming faint. The actors are doing amazing, and you should have all your lines memorized by now. We also still need curtains/sheets for the backdrops, so if anyone has some, could you please bring them along? I don't have the songs you need to know for this week yet, but as soon as I do, they'll be put on the website. And one final note, the deadline for the poster contest is this week! You can bring your drawing on Friday and give them to Mrs. Beldman. :)
   See you on Friday!!

And here are this weeks announcements!
This weeks rehearsals are cancelled, (because of a double booking for the church) but there are a few people we still need to come out. Charlene would like Casper (William), Corrie (Leah), Betsie (Tara), and Christoffels (Heleyna) so that she can go over their soloist parts with them. Location is still pending, but as of now, you can assume it will be held at the church. If we do find a more central location, I'll make sure I get a hold of the families that need to know. :)
   Have a wonderful week!

And here are the lyrics! Below are also a links to watch the lyric videos on youtube.

                                                               Jesus, Only Jesus

                                                          Phillips, Craig, and Dean

Who has the power to raise the dead?

Who can save us from our sin?

He is our hope, our righteousness

Jesus, only Jesus

Who can make the blind to see?

Who holds the keys that set us free?

He paid it all to bring us peace

Jesus, only Jesus

Holy, King almighty Lord

Saints and angels all adore Thee

I join with them and bow before

Jesus, only Jesus

Who can command the highest praise?

Who has the name above all names?

You stand alone, I stand amazed

Jesus, only Jesus

Holy, King almighty Lord

Saints and angels all adore Thee

I join with them and bow before

Jesus, only Jesus

You will command the highest praise!

Yours is the name above all names!

You stand alone, I stand amazed

Jesus, only Jesus!

Jesus, only Jesus!

Holy, King almighty Lord

Saints and angels all adore Thee

I join with them and bow before

Jesus, only Jesus

Holy, King almighty Lord

Saints and angels all adore

I join with them and bow before

Jesus, only Jesus!

You will command the highest praise!

Yours is the name above all names!

You stand alone, I stand amazed

Jesus, only Jesus!

Jesus, only Jesus!

                                                   Hallelujah for the Cross

                                                             Newsboys

Casper:

Up to the hill of Calvary

My Savior went courageously

and there He bled and died for me

Hallelujah for the cross

And on that day the world was changed

A final, perfect Lamb was slain

Let earth and heaven now proclaim

Hallelujah for the cross

Casper and Choir:

Hallelujah for the war He fought

Love has won, death has lost

Hallelujah for the souls He bought

Hallelujah for the cross

Girls:

What good I’ve done could never save

My debt too great for deeds to pay

But God, my Savior, made a way

Hallelujah for the cross

Boys:

A slave to sin, my life was bound

But all my chains fell to the ground

When Jesus’ blood came flowing down

Hallelujah for the cross

Entire Choir:

Hallelujah for the war He fought

Love has won, death has lost

Hallelujah for the souls He bought

Hallelujah for the cross

Casper and Christoffels:

And when I breathe my final breath

I’ll have no need to fear that rest

This hope will guide me into death

Hallelujah for the cross

Choir:

Hallelujah for the war He fought

Love has won, death has lost

Hallelujah for the souls He bought

Hallelujah for the cross

Hallelujah for the war He fought

Love has won, death has lost

Hallelujah for the souls He bought

Hallelujah for the cross

Hallelujah for the cross

Hallelujah for the cross
