Happy December everyone!

We are a month away from beginning rehearsals and hope that all of our fabulous actors have most of their lines memorized.  We hope to have our first rehearsal on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at 11:00 at Living Water Reformed Church.  All rehearsals will be for both choir and cast unless specified differently.

We have our official dates for the final production and they are April 14th and 15th at the New Covenant Church in Brantford.  We are considering having two evening performances this year along with the one afternoon performance to which we will invite area Christian schools to attend. We’ll let you know as soon as we figure this out!

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We were amazed by the auditions on Friday, everyone did such an amazing job! Thank you for all your work in preparing your poems.  The cast has been decided on and the list has now been posted under the 'actors' tab.  The soloists have not yet been picked as we wanted to wait after a few weeks of rehearsals to decide those parts. If you did not get a part, it was not because you didn't do a fantastic job; unfortunately there are only so many parts. We are looking forward to seeing everyone come out in January, we are really excited by the number of kids in our choir. One note: we will need almost all of the actors to still participate in the choir when they are not on stage acting.  Again, great work, everyone!
I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving and happy memorizing!

Audition Announcement NOTE: Date has been changed to Oct. 9, 2015

We are excited to announce that a production of 'The Hiding Place,' a musical based on the life of Corrie tenBoom, is in the works for this coming spring (2016). It is a story about a family in the Netherlands during WW II who worked in the underground to save people from the Nazis.  Their motivation was their deep love for Christ and for His people as well as anyone else who needed help, including the Nazis themselves.  In the end two would die because of their convictions. Corrie tenBoom would live and spend the rest of her life encouraging others to forgive and love as Christ had forgiven them. The story is remarkable in how it shines with the mercy and love of Jesus.

In order to give our cast time to learn lines before rehearsals begin in January we will be holding auditions early this autumn. The final performance date is yet to be determined but we are aiming at early May.

There will be lots of roles to fill, both large and small, as well as a choir that needs plenty of enthusiastic voices, including a number of solo parts. All this means that we have lots of different opportunities for kids to explore auditioning for! Everyone ages 6 and up is welcomed to come out for the choir and we would love to see lots of high school students tryout for the play as it is a more mature story and would benefit with a few older actors.

We look forward to seeing you there!
